Apropos of the post "Now it's Canterbury's turn" (12/15/06), the most thoroughgoing critique of the Evangelical "covenant" demanded of the Church of England comes from Dr. Tom Wright, the Bishop of Durham. Among the best-known conservative evangelicals within the Church of England, he is nonetheless highly critical of the document - 'A Covenant for the Church of England' - presented to the Archbishop oof Canterbury earlier last week.
