The 'blog - Friends of Justice - is the voice of an organization of the same name that emerged in response to the infamous Tulia Drug Sting of 1999 in which 47 people - 39 of them African-Americans - were rounded up based on the false testimony of an undercover agent. To quote from their web site:
Word has come from Friends of Justice that a documentary film - "Tulia, Texas: A small town's search for justice" will air on PBS (Channel 8) February 10, 2009. This is only a week away, so put it on your viewing schedule now.
In connection with the broadcast, a thorough discussion of the story and a useful discussion guide has also appeared, and may be read and/or downloaded here.
